For graduate student applicants:

Graduate students interested in joining RostLab must apply to the Virginia Tech Graduate School before the application deadline. Ensure to note Dr. Rost as the research professor you are interested in working with on your application. This step is crucial for aligning your application with our lab’s recruitment process. We review graduate student applications twice a year, in October and March, offering candidates the chance to join a dynamic team dedicated to advancing material science through cutting-edge research. Please subsequently reach out to Dr. Rost via email with a cover letter and resume to set up a meeting.

For undergraduate student applicants:

Undergraduate students interested in joining RostLab should email Dr. Rost with a resume and cover letter highlighting your research interests. Applications are accepted at any time, offering flexibility for students eager to gain hands-on research experience. Undergraduate students may perform research for degree credit or an hourly wage.
